Skip the Trip-driver's permit
“Skip the Trip” program offered at Edgewood-Colesburg CSD
“Skip the Trip,” is a program from the Iowa Department of Transportation that allows students to take the permit test, non-commercial driver’s knowledge test, online. The Iowa DOT has approved educational sites to administer the test using an electronic device, which saves parents time away from work and students’ time away from school. If a student does not pass the first time, they can take it again 24 hours later and skip the multiple trips to the courthouse.
Secondary Principal, Dawn Voss, is certified to administer the test at Ed-Co. After the test is completed, the student will receive an email with the test results. Once the student has passed the test, the parent and student will need to visit a DOT service center or county treasurer’s office to get their instructional permit.
