Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe YODA club at Ed-Co is hosting the "Hidden in Plain Sight" program during conferences on March 27th & 28.
Exhibit is open to both parents and community members!
The program offers adults an insight into what youth may be hiding in their rooms. This interactive exhibit focuses on alcohol, tobacco and marijuana use, with a few other drugs represented in some form. Participants will learn about different types of paraphernalia available for the use, processing and concealment of illicit drugs.
During this program which is geared for parents, guardians and other concerned adults, participants are given a few minutes to inspect a mock-up of a typical teenager's bedroom. During the inspection, attendees are asked to point out any items they believe to be drug related. Law Enforcement will be present to answer questions and point out missed items.
There will also be representatives available from Helping Services to provide resources.
