About Me

I am originally from Charles City, Iowa. I now live in Manchester. I have two sons, Ethan (who is in JK) and Oliver (who is in 2nd grade).  Previously, I have taught 4th grade and 3rd grade. This is my 5th year teaching and I am very excited to again be teaching 5th grade Literacy and Social Studies! 

My Education

I earned my Associate of Arts Degree from North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City, Iowa in 2013. I waited two years before returning to school at Buena Vista University. I graduated Cum Laude with my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and a Reading Endorsement in 2018. I am currently attending graduate school in the Master of Education in Teacher Leadership, Curriculum, and Instruction Program at Buena Vista University.
