Ed Co Patrons, we need your help!
School Cents is a great way to help support our school, simply by shopping for things you’d probably be buying anyway. Every dollar spent at Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids turns into points, and points turn into money for our district. Food court purchases and receipts are worth a lot of points, so eat at HuHot, or one of the in-mall food court restaurants, and get us lots of 100 points per dollar! Surrounding restaurants, like Chipotle, Cheddars, Burger King, Hurricane Grill and Red Lobster also count towards EdCo points at the normal 10 points per dollar. Just make sure you turn in the receipts!
Also, please visit the mall with your student’s report card. One of the best parts of this program is rewarding academic achievement by our students. Your student’s grades will earn us lots of points, with straight A’s earning as much as a $50 receipt from the mall! By the way, a C average still gets us 450 points, like spending $45 in the mall. Report cards are to be turned in to the Mall Office on the lower level, M-F, 8:30-5. During the busier holiday shopping season, there will be a kiosk in the center of the main level, where School Cents report cards and points can be redeemed.
We encourage you to shop locally. But if you shop out of town, please consider going to Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids and helping our district by dropping off your receipts in the box slot marked Edgewood-Colesburg in the middle of the mall.
Double Point Weekend: October 23-25
Triple Point Weekends: November 27-29 and December 18-20
Get us double or triple points by shopping on these weekends! Just turn in your receipts as normal!
There will be a hat and mitten drive in early November and a Pack the Pantry food drive due in early December. Even though both of these events also earn us points, it helps people all around Eastern Iowa with your donations. We will publicise more about these events as they come closer.
School Cents runs from October 1st to December 31st. They will be giving away $25,000 in prize money. Let’s make sure that Ed-Co gets a good share of that this year!
