Subscription Internet services you can use free of charge
Keystone AEA provides a number of subscription resources on the Internet free of charge to district patrons. Go to: www.aea1.k12.ia.us and select "Online Resources" at the top of the page. The required username and password are available to Ed-Co district patrons from school publications or by contacting the school.
EBSCO:Magazine & newspaper articles and images for student research projects. Also
includes a large selection of teacher journals, and magazines of interest to the general public.World Book Reference Center: Based on the printed World Book Encyclopedia, this resource
provides current and historical documents and articles, pictures, maps, videos, and sounds.Atomic Learning: QuickTime movie tutorials on how to use over 30 software programs such
as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Windows XP, and the like.AP Multimedia Archive: Photos and graphics from Assciated Press, dated from the 1840's to the present.
Digital Curriculum and United Streaming: Two collections of instructional video clips that can be streamed or downloaded. Requires Windows Media Player or QuickTime, and a broadband Internet connection.
ClipArt.com: A collection of graphics, photos, etc., that can be used in school projects.
